For this network of Francophones (native French speakers) and Francophiles (those with an interest in the French culture) to be truly efficient, we are building it on a regional basis, with a Real World-Virtual world approach. In fact, we do not believe communities really materialize on the Web. We believe the web is a great resource, but that people need to feel proximity to foster truly enriching communication. Our goal is to build a network to help identify those things which are not written anywhere today and which can make our lives abroad better. Things that are second nature to Americans but are unknown to us- like the US health care system. We also seek to bring together on this site those providing the specialized products and services you seek as Francophiles: whether travel and housing abroad, education, leisure activities, or children's educational products here. There is no easy access to these products and services today. Finally, we will also provide a forum for all the bi-cultural, Francophone-American families, where they can exchange their points of views, questions, or suggestions.
Even someone as discreet as a programmer ...
We welcome all those who believe in such an effort to join us. Support Frenchparents! |
